I never once was much of a girl who liked flowers, dolls, and princes.
Nor did I care for fairytales, happily ever afters, or make believe.
Never did I ever beg for something pink, something frilly, or something to dress up in.
But what I did ask for was adventure. To play in the sand, tussle in the dirt, and get my hands greased.
What I did favor was the fun in mystery, in going to places and meeting people without any purpose in sight. Intuition was the compass of my journeys.
What I loved was the thrill of discovering something new, the entertainment of learning something different, the excitement of pushing the limits of my own capabilities.
I never once was much of a girl who you could dress up, expect to act well behaved, and engage in small talk all evening.
But I will always be the girl who will toss off her clothes to jump into the ocean, always do what she wants when she wants, and always speak her mind to whomever she pleases.
